Wayne YMCA Launches Family First Initiative With Free Parent-Child Classes Starting in January
Families with a facility membership may take parent/child swim lessons for free and will get the lowest rates for other programs.

The Wayne YMCA is launching a Family First Initiative, offering parent/child swim lessons for free and the lowest rates for other programs to families with a facility membership.
“Families are the backbone of society, and this initiative is designed to make it even more affordable for them to take advantage of Y classes that foster health, personal growth and fun,’’ said Wayne YMCA Executive Director Justin Ihne.
All swim lessons requiring parents to be in the pool with their children, including Shrimp 1 and Shrimp 2, are free.

“The Y has long offered free family events throughout the year, including wellness classes, movie nights, Saturday family programs, and family swim time, and now, families will get the lowest program rate possible for all classes,’’ Ihne said. Each family with a facility membership may take two free programs per eight-week session starting in January.
The Wayne Y provides affordable classes, programs and events for people of all ages. To learn more, visit wayneymca.org, stop by the Y at 1 Pike Drive, Wayne, or call (973) 595-0100.
