Wayne's Adjusted Garbage, Recycling Schedule For Thanksgiving Week
The holiday will impact the pickup of garbage, recycling and yard waste.
WAYNE, NJ — A lot can go wrong when preparing for Thanksgiving. Don't let putting your trash out on the wrong day become one of them.
Thanksgiving will impact Wayne's schedule for garbage, recycling and vegetative waste pickup. Here are the changes residents should know about:
- Recycling for Zones 4 and 13 — including commingled cans and plastic, and paper recycling for Thanksgiving is rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 26.
- Garbage and vegetative waste won't get collected on Thanksgiving, and there is no alternate pickup. Hold your items for the next collection.
- The Recycling Center will be closed on Thanksgiving and reopen Friday.
