Wayne's Greg Olsen Breaks Foot Against Bills, Out 6 To 8 Weeks: Report
The injury means Olsen's consecutive starts streak has ended.

WAYNE, NJ — Wayne Hills alumnus and Carolina Panther Greg Olsen will miss an extended period of time for the first time in his NFL career after he broke his foot against the Buffalo Bills Sunday.
The Charlotte Observer reported that Olsen, a four-year team captain, will be out six to eight weeks, citing a source; that timeline could change after the injury is evaluated, according to the report.
Olsen was running a route when the injury occurred.

"I just felt something in my right foot. I didn't touch anybody," Olsen told the Observer. "It's just the way my foot went down. It just popped."
Olsen is the first tight end in NFL history to have three consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. He has been named to multiple Pro Bowls and was nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award for his charitable contributions to help cancer patients and infants with heart defects.

In early 2013, Olsen and his wife Kara founded the HEARTest Yard Fund. The family created the foundation after a routine examination of their unborn son, T.J., showed he had a congenital defect. He had four open-heart surgeries before he turned 2.
