Winter is The Time to Discover Kids' Summer Fun at Wayne YMCA Camps

Families who register by Jan. 31 pay 2014 prices. Parents are invited to attend Camp Open Houses.

While the calendar and the thermometer say it’s winter, summer camp selection season is underway. The Wayne Y invites parents to attend a Camp Open House and learn about its array of camps that will keep kids of all ages and interests active and engaged all summer long.

From the traditional to the specialized, Wayne Y camps build campers’ self-esteem, confidence and social skills in a fun, safe and enriching environment. Children from ages 2 through 15 develop independence and wellness awareness through developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences.

Families can choose from Summer Playschool, the White Pines Day Camp, Performing Arts Specialty Camps, Summer Sports Academy, Swim Tech Camp and the Counselor-in-Training program. All meet state regulations on counselor-to-camper ratios and comply with National Camping Association standards. Reading time and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) lessons are incorporated into all curriculums.
