Cops: Woman Used Heroin In Municipal Court Bathroom

Amanda Mileto, 21, was at Wayne Municipal Court when she left to use the bathroom, police said.

A Wayne woman was arrested after she allegedly used heroin in the women’s bathroom in Town Hall while there for municipal court, police said.

Amanda Mileto, 21, was at the Wayne Municipal Court when police recognized her as having a warrant out for her arrest for violating her probation, said Capt. Laurence Martin.

Mileto exited the courtroom, used the women’s bathroom, and passed through the court security station where authorities discovered she had a needle and four empty glassine folds containing suspected heroin on her, Martin said.

Authorities examined the women’s bathroom and found blood droplets in one of the stalls that were consistent with what happens when someone ”injects themselves with heroin,” police said.

Mileto, 21, was charged with being under the influence of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a needle or syringe. She was transported to the Passaic County Jail on the probation violation.
