For women, the American Revolution ushered in exciting new concepts of liberty, equality and opportunity. Join us as Dr. Lucia McMahon demonstrates how they participated in protests against the British, collected funds for the war effort, and took part in the political and intellectual discourse of the times. A new era was dawning that would have lasting effects.

Free and open to the public, the program will be held at the Wayne Public Library’s meeting rooms. Doors open at 12:00 and the audience is invited to bring their own lunches, while coffee, tea and cookies will be provided. The one-hour program begins at 12:30 pm.
