Young Martial Artists Win at Tournament

Several Wayne students from Tiger Schulmann’s Mixed Martial Arts either finished in first or second place in their respective divisions at the annual Challenge of Champions, a martial arts competition the school has been participating in for years. 

In the grappling competition, Cameron August, Alex Gallipoli, Elise Hartman, Dominic Valenzuela, and Atilla Valy all placed first, Colby Montaina, Brian Smith, and Brian Swezey finished second, and Krystina Wolf and Marco Alarcon finished third in their respective divisions. 

In the kickboxing competition Cameron August, Alex Gallipoli, Dominic Valenzuela, and Elise Hartman finished first in their divisions while Murat Mamkegh and Brian Smith finished second.
