• Bear Sighting Reported In West Windsor, Police Issue Alert (patch.com) — West Windsor police are warning residents after a black bear was spotted Monday morning near Village Road West in the Dutch Neck area and later by Conover and Galston. Officers urge people not to approach or run from the bear, but instead back away calmly, make noise, appear larger, and ensure the animal has an escape route. Any damage or nuisance behavior should be reported to the state's 24-hour DEP hotline.
