WEST WINDSOR, NJ — Horror fans can expect blood, laughs and plenty of chaos when "Evil Dead, the Musical" opens at Kelsey Theatre on Friday.
Presented by In Death's Company, the production follows Ash and his friends into a haunted cabin where demons emerge.
Based on the campy cult horror films "The Evil Dead", "Evil Dead II" and "Army of Darkness", the musical combines comedy, rock songs and over-the-top gore.
There's even a special "splatter zone" for adventurous theatergoers.
The musical continues through Nov. 1, with tickets ranging from $24 to $26.
Special Splatter Zone tickets cost $30 and include onstage seating and a T-shirt, with buyers required to confirm their seat selection and shirt size before arrival.
A Halloween costume party will follow the Oct. 31 performance.
The theater is located at 1200 Old Trenton Road. Tickets are available online.
