The cemetery contains more than 1,200 burials, some dating to the colonial era, including Revolutionary War soldiers, township founders, mayors and teachers.

Visitors will learn about the symbolism behind historic gravestone carvings and the history of the 1700s-era "Dutch Neck" community.

Registration is required and closes Saturday, Oct. 31. Participants can select their preferred tour time through the society's website.

The Historical Society of West Windsor is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 1983 that works to preserve local history through educational programs, community events and historic preservation projects.
