HOW DID THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE COME TO BE?

Join our nonprofit for a virtual lecture on June 23 at 7PM! Two Historical Society of West Windsor Directors - Josh Mandell and Tom Burnet - will discuss one of our nation's founding documents. We'll explore the precipitating events, the formation of the Committee of the Five, the drafting and editing process, the structure of the final document, the initial reception by England and the 13 colonies, as well as assorted myths and legends surrounding one of the nation's most sacred texts. Free to the public; organized in partnership with the West Windsor branch of the Mercer County Library System.
