Increase In Drug, Alcohol Cases In West Windsor Schools

WEST WINDSOR, NJ - The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District was among the top 75 school districts in the state when it comes to both increases in substance abuse and overall substance abuse cases, according to a recently released list.
New Jersey has released its annual list of substance-abuse cases reported by each school district, revealing the most recent data of reported cases.
The state has also released the list of highest increases – and biggest reductions – in cases from the previous year, between 2016-17 and 2017-18, which were the most recent years available.

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District ranked 75th in the state with 18 reported cases of substance abuse last year. It was an increase of eight cases, which was the 70th highest increase in New Jersey.
The state Department of Education has cautioned that these numbers are reported by each district, so each jurisdiction is responsible for reporting its results fairly and accurately. But they are required by law to report them.
