Little Women Musical Coming Soon To Kelsey Theatre

WEST WINDSOR, NJ — Jo March and her sisters are headed to the stage in West Windsor, with opening night for “Little Women, the Musical” approaching.

Off-Centre Stages will present the show at Kelsey Theatre on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus from Oct. 2 through Oct. 11, according to a press release provided to Patch by the college and the theater’s current schedule. Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor campus, home to Kelsey Theatre, is at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s novel, the musical follows the March sisters as they grow up against the backdrop of the American Civil War. The theater describes Jo’s pursuit of her writing dreams as love, loss and ambition shape the sisters’ lives.

The show has music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein and a book by Allan Knee. M.J. Santry directs the Off-Centre Stages production.

The cast includes Mary Hill, Angel Aucker Harrison, Lizzie Holzworth, Caroline Cook, Natalie Megules, Susan Eley, Tori Cavallo, Jessa Casner, Elena Marie Abdou, Tony Killian and Henry Ma WuWu. Keiyitho Omonuwa, Isabel Kirk, Emily Ewig, Katie Kershaw and Mark Shifton are understudies.

Performances are scheduled for Fridays, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9, at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Oct. 3 and Oct. 10, at 2 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 4 and Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Tickets cost $26 for adults and $24 for seniors and students. They are available through Kelsey Theatre’s website or by calling the box office at 609-570-3333 Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon.
