Manhunt After Plainsboro Woman Found Dead In Her Apartment: Cops
Carolyn Byington, 26, of Plainsboro, was found deceased in her apartment Monday evening, authorities said.
PLAINSBORO, NJ — Police are investigating the apparent murder of a Plainsboro woman who was found deceased in her home on Monday.
Plainsboro police discovered the body of 26-year-old Carolyn Byington just before 6 p.m. Monday night after being asked to conduct a wellness visit by her co-workers, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Plainsboro Police Chief Fred Travener said Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival, police found Byington in her apartment. She was pronounced dead at 7:36 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy determined the manner of death to be homicide.

No further information was provided, and it wasn't clear why coworkers asked police to conduct a wellness check. A spokesperson for the prosecutor's office wasn't immediately available for comment.

Byington graduated from Ridge High School in 2011 and earned her degree from Lafayette College, according to her LinkedIn profile. She previously worked with the American Cancer Society, and lived in Princeton and Morristown, and spent some time in Japan.
