West Windsor Man Said He Would 'Shoot Kids' In Connecticut: Cops

MILFORD, CT — A West Windsor man has been arrested after police in Connecticut said he was screaming obscenities and threatening to shoot children, police said Thursday morning.
Andrew Taylor was standing near two schools and a senior center when he was making the threats, according to the West Windsor Police Department.
Police in Milford, Connecticut, were called to the scene at about 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, for reports of a suspicious man making "disturbing comments to passerby's," police said.

Officers determined Taylor had no weapons on him at the time, police said. He was charged with two counts of breach of the peace and given a court date of Nov. 5.
West Windsor police have been in contact with police in New Milford, Connecticut and the local school district about the incident.

“Chief Garofalo and our officers’ top priority is the preservation of life,” police said in a statement. “We are especially mindful of the children in our schools. As always, if our community needs our assistance, we will be there.”
