Arrested: Wilson M. Gonzalez

DETAILS: Ptl. Fiore was detailed to Princeton-Hightstown Rd. for a black Honda that was driving side to side in the roadway, and left the road several times. A concerned citizen followed the vehicle and reported its location to police. The black Honda then drove onto Washington Rd., turned into a driveway, and came to a stop. Ptl. Fiore arrived on scene and the concerned citizen pointed out the vehicle to him. Ptl. Fiore found that the black Honda, driven by Wilson Gonzalez, had driven over a curb in the driveway, and was stopped with its front end partially into a mulch bed. Gonzalez, had his foot on the brake with the vehicle transmission still in “drive” when Ptl. Fiore approached it. During the investigation, Gonzalez was determined to be DWI. He was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

Accused: Edgardo J. Acuna

DETAILS: Ptl. Heath was detailed to Walmart for a shoplifter who was fleeing the scene in a silver Pontiac sedan. Investigation determined that the suspect took a gray duffel bag from the sales floor, put a Dyson vacuum cleaner into it, and walked out of the store without paying for it. He was confronted by Asset Protection, but he did not stop and ran into the parking lot where a car picked him up and left the area. Det. W. Jones picked up the investigation. He was able to identify the suspect as Edgardo J. Acuna and charged him with Shoplifting. Acuna has a pending date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS: Patrol units responded to a motor vehicle crash on South Lane. Investigation determined that Amber Banaciski had been driving on South Lane when she drifted off the side of the road and into a utility pole, breaking the pole in half. At the scene, Banaciski was determined to be DWI. Banaciski was transported to the hospital. Banaciski has a date pending at West Windsor Municipal Court.

LOCATION OCCURRED: Wegmans, 240 Nassau Park Blvd.

Arrested: Donald R. McClinton
Resident of Trenton, NJ 08618
DETAILS: Ptl. Caulfield responded to Wegmans for a Shoplfting. Investigation determined that Donald McClinton (identified during a later investigation) placed two air fryers and numerous bottles of liquor (valued at $983.73) into his shopping cart. McClinton then walked out of the store without paying for any of the items and loaded them into a green van which then left the area. He returned 90 minutes later to shoplift again and was placed under arrest during that investigation, and charged with this shoplifting. (See below incident.)

Arrested: Donald R. McClinton

REPORTING OFFICER: Ptl. B. Caulfield #5107
DETAILS: Patrol units were detailed to Wegmans for a shoplifting in progress. Prior to police arriving on scene, Donald McClinton exited the store without paying for $1,066.11 worth of store merchandise. Wegmans Asset Protection confronted McClinton who then abandoned the stolen goods and ran into a green van which sped away. Sgt. Brodowski located the green van on Quakerbridge Rd. and stopped it. McClinton was identified as the shoplifter and taken into custody. The driver of the van was found to have arrest warrants from Lawrence and Ewing, and he was turned over to Lawrence Police at the scene. At the time of arrest, McClinton provided two false names to officers, and did not reveal his true identity until he was at WWPD Headquarters. After he was identified, he was found to be a “Wanted Person” out of Bucks County, PA. While being processed, he became uncooperative, cursed and yelled profanities at officers, menaced them and also punched and damaged a camera used to photograph arrestees. After processing was completed, McClinton was transported to the Mercer County Correction Center.

DETAILS: Patrol units responded to Target for a shoplifting in progress. Ptl. Collins #595 and Ptl. De Blasion #5111 arrived on scene first and detained Madera, Vargas, and Rodriquez. Investigation determined that the three Accused had selected over $1,300 worth of merchandise and clothing, and concealed the items into bags, behind a child in a shopping cart, and into a stroller. They walked past all points of sale without making payment and exited the store where they were met by responding officers. After being identified, Madera, Vargas, and Rodriguez were released from the scene. Complaints were signed charging the trio with shoplifting. They all have dates pending at Mercer County Superior Court.

DETAILS: Ptl. Mangone was detailed to the Lowe’s Home Improvement store for a shoplifter being detained by Loss Prevention. Investigation determined that Francis Moran selected a MIG welder and welding helmet and placed the items into a shopping cart. He then pushed the items outside of the store without paying for them. Moran was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.
