West Windsor Urges Residents To Act On Clarksville Road Bridge Closure
With the bridge closed for nearly a year, township officials are asking residents to help push for repairs and reopening.
WEST WINDSOR, NJ — With the Clarksville Road Bridge closed for nearly a year, West Windsor officials are urging residents to contact elected representatives and push for its reopening.
The township announced that the West Windsor Township Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-R199 on Sept. 28, calling on Amtrak to expedite safety reviews and provide track access so the New Jersey Department of Transportation can complete repairs.
The township hopes to reopen the bridge before the end of 2026.

"We need to keep the pressure on," the township said in its announcement, urging elected officials to advocate for residents.
Officials are asking residents to personalize an email template and send it to Gov. Mikie Sherrill, U.S. Sens. Cory Booker and Andy Kim, or U.S. Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman.

"Let's work together to get our bridge back open!" the township said.
