Police have a suspect in custody after a fatal shooting outside a Gloucester County apartment complex, a report said.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — One person is dead and police have a suspect in custody after a shooting outside a Gloucester County apartment complex, according to a report.
The Washington Township Police Department said one person was arrested after an incident in the parking lot of the Birches Apartments by the municipal golf course on Wednesday afternoon.
A man who died in the shooting has not been identified, according to NJ Advance Media. Officials did not release details on what lead up to the shooting.

The apartment community is located at 195 Fries Mill Road.
Township Police said the area was safe as of 11:30 a.m. and said there was no need for residents to be alarmed.
