15-Year-Old Teen Dead In Salem County Car Crash
The accident occurred at the intersection of County Route 553/Buck Road and McKishen Road in Pittsgrove, police say.
PITTSGROVE, NJ — A one-car crash at the intersection of County Route 553/Buck Road and McKishen Road in Pittsgrove has left one teenager dead, the New Jersey State Police tell Patch.
The teenager who was killed in Wednesday morning's crash has been identified as Evan D’Anjou, a 15-year-old from Pittsgrove, police said. D'Anjou was the sole passenger in the car, police continue.
The name of the driver and his or her medical condition was not released.

The preliminary investigation indicates the driver did not stop at the stop sign at the intersection McKishen Road and County Route 553/Buck Road, according to police. The car traveled across County Route 553/Buck Road, went off the road, became airborne and hit a tree, according to police.
Both D'Anjou and the driver were students at Arthur P. Schalick High School, 6abc.com reported.

The investigation into the crash continues, according to police. Anyone who may have information about the crash is asked to call New Jersey State Police at Bridgeton at 856-451-0101.
