1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Gloucester County Crash

The crash happened in Monroe Township at the intersection of State Route 42 and Georgia Avenue on Saturday night, according to police.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — One person was killed and another person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Monroe Township Gloucester County Saturday night, according to police.

A 2019 GMC Terrain was turning left onto Georgia Avenue from State Route 42 north when it collided with a Hyundai Elantra heading south on State Route 42 shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said.

The driver of GMC Terrain died a few hours later at Jefferson – Washington Township Hospital, and driver of the Hyundai Elantra was listed in stable condition at Cooper Trauma Center as of Saturday night, according to authorities.

Neither driver's name was released.
