A man who was killed in an accident on a New Jersey road after fleeing the scene of a traffic stop early Thursday morning has been identified. It was the second time he did that, and this time it was fatal.
Andrew B. Davoli, 27, of Turnersville, was killed at about 12:12 a.m. when his 2013 Ford Taurus crashed into a tree at the entrance of a Beneficial Bank branch and offices of the Gloucester County Probation Department, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday night.
Police say Davoli had just fled the scene of a traffic stop on Route 41 (Hurfville Road) conducted by Deptford Police. The accident is being investigated in accordance with the New Jersey Attorney General’s vehicle pursuit policy.

Two years ago, Davoli was arrested after he skipped a court hearing relating to a charge of eluding a police officer, according to an nj.com report from the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.
He allegedly led police on a 20-minute low-speed pursuit on Sept. 14, 2014, after an officer signaled him to stop in Harrison Township, according to the report.
