1 Killed In NJ Turnpike Crash In South Jersey
The crash happened shortly after 3:15 a.m. Tuesday.
CARNEY'S POINT, NJ — There are new details regarding Tuesday's crash in the northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Salem County that Patch reported about on Tuesday.
Randy Wayne Morgan, 59, of Biscoe, North Carolina was approaching the toll booths in a tractor-trailer shortly after 3:15 a.m. when it struck a concrete abutment that separates toll booths and caught fire, according to New Jersey State Police.
Morgan was trapped inside the tractor-trailer and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the crash, according to authorities.
State Police were still investigating what caused the crash as of late Tuesday.
