$130K In Fake Louis Vuitton Bags Headed For South Jersey Seized

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Numerous fake designed handbags that were intended for a destination in South Jersey were intercepted and seized in Philadelphia recently, according to federal officials. If authentic, the handbags would have had a manufacturer suggested retail price of $130,610.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers said they seized a shipment of 37 counterfeit Louis Vuitton handbags that were destined for Logan Township when they arrived in Philadelphia from Hong Kong on Thursday, Dec. 12.

The shipment of three boxes initially arrived Nov. 25 manifested as "Lady Bag Sample," according to officials. Customs officers suspected the shipment to be counterfeit and detained it.
