3 More West Deptford Residents Test Positive For Coronavirus

Three West Deptford residents are among 39 new positive cases of new coronavirus reported in Gloucester County on Thursday.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — Three West Deptford residents are among 39 new positive cases of new coronavirus reported in Gloucester County on Thursday. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases, including those of a 23-year-old woman, a 76-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man, all from West Deptford.

As of Thursday, Gloucester County has conducted 6,784 total tests. Of these cases, 5,212 have come back negative and 17 are pending. Gloucester County now has 1,555 positive cases, with 68 deaths.

A 91-year-old Woodbury man and two Washington Township residents — a 74-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman — have all died after testing positive for the coronavirus, officials announced on Thursday.

At this time, the overall threat of the coronavirus to Gloucester County residents remains low, officials said. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
