4 People Arrested In Paulsboro Shootings: Police
One person is in critical condition following one of two shootings last week.

A 15-year-old juvenile was among four people who were charged in connection with two shootings in Paulsboro that left one person critically injured, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Thursday.
The two shootings took place over a matter of three days last week. The first was at about 5 a.m. on July 12 in the 1000 block of Spruce Street, and the other was just before midnight at Spruce and Washington streets. In the second shooting, a 24-year-old Paulsboro man was critically injured and is in Cooper Medical Center.
Dwayne Demby, 28, of Paulsboro, was charged with illegal possession of a weapon (9 mm handgun) by a convicted felon following the execution of a search warrant at his home on July 18.

On the same day, 31-year-old Anthony Vanblarcom, of Paulsboro, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon (40 cal. handgun), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was injured in the July 14 shooting, and is in Cooper Medical Center under sheriff’s guard.
His sister, 32-year-old Lazzaro Vanblarcom, of Paulsboro, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at a Commerce Street address. His charges pertain to both shootings. Demby and Lazzaro Vanblarcom are in custody pending detention hearings.

The child was charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in connection with the July 12 shooting and is being held in a youth detention center.
Assisting in the arrests were the Gloucester County Special Weapons and Tactics Team, the New Jersey State Police TEAMS unit and the Paulsboro Police Department.
