SPRINGFIELD, NJ — The Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) Westampton's girls' softball team bus went up in flames on Wednesday.
Firefighters responded to the area of Route 537 and Juliustown Road, the Jacksonville Fire Company Station 212 said, where the front of the vehicle was engulfed in the fire.
Nobody was hurt, but the team's equipment and many of the players' personal belongings were destroyed.
The cause of the fire is yet to be released.
The Fire Company is helping the girls rebuild by sharing information about an equipment donation drive that is being held in the area.
Contact Brandi with the team or reach out to Station 212 at 609-261-1139 for more information.
Mount Laurel Girls Softball is also raising money by donating all of the profits from concession sales at Spencer Park through Sunday to support the BCIT team.
Those who won't be able to make it to Spencer Park or who would like to just help online can do so through Venmo @MLGSFood.
