BRIDGETON, NJ — Wednesday marks the anniversary of when five-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez went missing in 2019 from Bridgeton City Park.

Detectives believed the child was taken by a man who led her from the park to a red van with a sliding side door.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office renewed its call for help and said they continue to receive information that has led to new leads in the past year.

"We remain committed to doing whatever is within our power to find those responsible for Dulce's disappearance," said Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. "Each tip is thoroughly vetted and gives me hope that we will one day develop the information necessary to crack the case open."

According to the Prosecutor's Office, anonymous information can be submitted online, but anyone who aids with information as a witness will not have their immigration status used against them.

The Office can also be reached by phone at (856) 453-0486.
