BRIDGETON, NJ — A 26-year-old man was arrested after taking a gun with him to confront another driver in a road rage situation on Saturday, the Bridgeton Police Department said.
Savion Jones, of Bridgeton, was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun).
At around 6:10 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of N. Pearl Street and Rosenhayn Avenue for a report of a road rage altercation.
Jones had the gun as he left his own car to approach the other driver, according to officials.
He was arrested and taken to the Cumberland County Jail without conflict.
