BRIDGETON, NJ — A 46-year-old man was arrested after a stabbing at a Dollar General store on Tuesday, the Bridgeton Police Department said.
John Walker, of Bridgeton, was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with bodily injury, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
At around 2:15 p.m., officers responded to 25 E. Broad St. for a report of a stabbing.
A verbal fight between Walker and another man led Walker to bring out a knife and stab him multiple times, according to authorities.
Walker was found, arrested, and taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
The man he stabbed was flown to Cooper Hospital in stable condition.
