WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A three-vehicle crash ended with a car upside down on Tuesday, the Washington Township Police Department said.
At around 4:25 p.m., officers responded to the area of Egg Harbor Road and Hurffville-Grenloch Road for a report of a multi-vehicle collision with an overturned car and people possibly trapped.
Police got to the scene within one minute after dispatch and were joined by the Washington Township Fire Department and Ambulance and Rescue Squad.
A woman was taken to Jefferson Washington Township Hospital with minor injuries, according to officials.
There was no immediate word on any potential charges or if a cause of the crash was determined.
Gloucester County Commissioner candidate Martino Cartier detailed the response at the crash site in a post on social media after his pregnant wife was driving just feet away from the collision.
According to Cartier's wife, the car flipped multiple times before bystanders tried to help but were unsuccessful with first responders on scene just moments later.
"Please join me in praying for this woman, for her complete recovery, and for every first responder who puts their life on the line for complete strangers," Cartier added.
