EAST GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 22-year-old woman was killed after she lost control of her car and hit a tree along I-295 South, New Jersey State Police said.
On Wednesday, at around 5:20 p.m., troopers responded to a crash near mile marker 17.4.
Based on early evidence, Aigner Johnson, of Oaklyn, was driving a Ford sedan south when she lost directional control.
The car then went off the right side of the road and hit a tree before being "fully engulfed" in flames.
Johnson died as a result of the crash.
Nayazia Morgan, 22, of Camden, was a passenger in the Ford and was flown to the hospital with critical injuries.
The aftermath of the collision was captured Wednesday on overhead video provided by NBC.
