Bomb Threats Put South Jersey Schools In Lockdown
A K-9 Unit and other agencies responded to the schools.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — The grounds of West Deptford High School and Deptford High School were put into lockdown Thursday morning after bomb threats that were eventually ruled not credible at each location.
At West Deptford High School, officers responded at around 7:30 a.m. for a report of a bomb threat, West Deptford Police Said.
The school was placed into an immediate lockdown while law enforcement assessed the situation.

The Gloucester County Sheriff's Office Bomb K-9 Unit conducted sweeps through the interior areas of the school. Authorities also reviewed surveillance footage of the area.
The scene was cleared with no credible threat to students or staff, authorities said.

This is the second time in the last week that a bomb threat was placed in connection with the school after authorities responded and cleared another situation on Friday.
West Deptford Police are working with partners in law enforcement on each of the cases.
"We fully understand the frustration, confusion, and fear that these types of incidents come with, but we want to assure everyone that we are doing everything in our power to bring the suspect(s) to justice," the department added.

Deptford High School
At around 7:40 a.m., authorities received a 911 call reporting a bomb threat at the school, Deptford Police said.
The school was immediately put into lockdown, and multiple agencies arrived at the school.
The Gloucester County Sheriff's Office Explosives Detection K-9 Units conducted sweeps of the school.
No credible threats were found.
