Crash Kills E-Scooter Driver In South Jersey: Authorities
The driver of a Mercury was also involved in the collision along E Chestnut Avenue.
VINELAND, NJ — A 45-year-old man was killed after another driver hit him on an electronic scooter (e-scooter) Thursday, the Vineland Police Department said.
At around 11:11 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of E Chestnut Avenue and S Seventh Street for a report of a vehicle that hit an e-scooter.
Karon S. Evans, 37, of Vineland, was driving a black 2007 Mercury Mountaineer east in the outside lane along E Chestnut Avenue behind another vehicle.

He then moved to the inside lane and hit Angel Tirado, of Vineland, who was also driving east on the e-scooter.
Tirado was left with critical injuries and taken to Inspira Hospital of Vineland, where he later died.

No criminal charges have been filed.
