Double Fatal, 2-Car Crash On Slushy South Jersey Highway: Police
The two cars slammed into each other on a slushy New Jersey highway, police said.

Two people were killed in a crash this week on a slushy New Jersey highway, police said.
Agnes Demarco, 68, and her passenger, Daniel McLaughlin, 55, both from Philadelphia were killed in the Monroe Township crash, police said.
The crash happened at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday on the Black Horse Pike near the Star Motel when Demarco's 2004 Honda was traveling westbound in the left lane, police said.

The car lost control on the slushy pavement and then crossed the centerline. The Honda began to spin as it entered the eastbound lanes and into the path of a 2010 Lexus driven by a 54-year-old John McLarty of Collings Lakes, police said.
The front end of the Lexus struck the Honda on the passenger side, causing massive damage to both vehicles and killing Demarco and McLaughlin. They were pronounced dead on scene.

McLarty, the driver of the Lexus, was taken to an area trauma center with critical injuries.

The Monroe Township Police were assisted by the Cecil Fire Company, Monroe Township EMS, Inspira Paramedics, the NJSP and NJDOT.
