What is Sunjata Kamalenya?

Per the library's website, you can dance, sing, and act your way through a journey deep into the Mande tradition. The Sunjata epic is based on the real-life 13th century ruler who brought order to the Mali empire, the greatest kingdom the continent of Africa ever saw. A must see event as the McCarter Theatre transforms the room into a small village in Guinea. If you are in the room you can be in the show.

Open to the general public.  All programs are free and family friendly. Registration requested unless otherwise stated. Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion of every program.
