Fish for Cancer

Jim Macdonald Sr. “Fish For Cancer” Catfish Tournament

On June 2nd the National Park Boat Club will be holding their annual Catfish Tournament: “Fish For Cancer.”

The tournament entry fee is $25.00 along with an optional Lunker Pool (single heaviest fish) which is $10.00. Starting position is at your favorite fishing spot anywhere on the Delaware River and or its tributaries, no earlier than 7:00am. Each angler can weigh-in in up to 3 fish. Check in time is 3:00pm. All fish must be alive, released, and be able to swim away after they are weighed in.

All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Last year the tournament raised $3,532.00. There will be a 75% payout to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place; the remaining 25% will be donated to the ACS. Lunker pool is 100% payout. We had more than 100 anglers last year and 1st place took home over $775.00.

Entry includes food, soda, and draft beer from 3pm-7pm. If there is anyone not fishing in the tournament who would like to attend the event will pay an admission price of $15.00; children under 12 pay $5.00. There will also be a DJ and live music by “Bad Whiskey.”

This year we will be raffling off a 59” Samsung 3D HD Plasma TV along with a Blu-Ray player and a pair of 3D glasses. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. We will also have a 50/50.
