New Details In Deadly Gloucester County Explosion

The explosion happened a little after 10:30 a.m. at Timberlane Welding, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said.

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The man killed in an explosion at Timberlane Welding in the 400 block of Swedesboro Road in Harrison Township on Wednesday has been identified.

Bruce A. Cheeseman, 47, of Cedarville, New Jersey died in the explosion that occurred a little after 10:30 a.m. at Timberlane Welding, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said.

Cheeseman was an employee Timberlane Welding, a Harrison Township Police Lieutenant told Patch.

The cause of the explosion was still being investigated as of 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the prosecutor's office said.

The Gloucester County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Harrison Township Police Department, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office were assisting in that investigation.
