FBI Needs Help To Solve Baby's Death In South Jersey
Her remains were found wrapped in a towel with a design on it.
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — The FBI released a new call for help regarding a cold case involving a baby's body that was found in a dumpster in 1986.
On Dec. 4, 1986, a white, little girl's remains were found in a trash can behind a shopping center located at Ganttown Road and Route 42.
The baby had dark hair, brown eyes, and weighed between six and eight pounds

She was found in a plastic, silver garbage bag and wrapped in a beach towel that had an African Plains scene on it.


The girl's death was ruled a homicide by asphyxiation.
