Free Empowerment and Legal Workshops at RCGC

The Center for People in Transition hosts a number of empowerment and legal workshops at RCGC during the month of December.

Deptford Twp. – The Center for People in Transition at Rowan College at Gloucester County hosts a number of empowerment and legal workshops during the month of December. All workshops are free. Call 856-415-2222 or email peopleintransition@rcgc.edu to register.

“Digital Photography and the Utilization of Picasa” — Microsoft Office Master, Lauri Kuder will teach the uses of the integrated photo-sharing website Picasa, in addition to its image organizing, viewing and editing features. Picasa is free to download. This workshop is sponsored by Heart of Gloucester County and People and Transition. It meets Monday, Dec. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Navigating Child Support” — Gloucester County Social Services Child Support Specialist Gina Foster will describe the processes to establishing paternity, filing for support services and enforcing existing court orders. A review of the family court, probation and social services are discussed as well as individual rights. It meets Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

“Laws of Separation and Divorce” — Lynn Castillo, Esquire, from the Gloucester County Bar Association will speak on grounds for divorce, court procedures, alimony, equitable distribution, custody, visitation rights and other concerns. It meets Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m.

“Grow the Biggest Emotion We Fear: JOY” — Certified Professional Life Coach Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld will lead this transformative workshop that shows individuals how to let go of loss and pain and usher joy into their lives. Joy is an elusive emotion that everyone desires. She will demonstrate how busy lifestyles can create drama or stress and suggest creative ways to bring more joy into life. It meets Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 7 to 9 p.m.
