Free ESL Classes Provided by Rowan College
Rowan College at Gloucester County is offering free English as a Second Language (ESL) courses beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Deptford Twp. – The Division of Continuing Education at Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) is offering free English as a Second Language (ESL) courses beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Applicants conveniently have the option to register for either a day or evening program. Day classes will meet in RCGC’s Continuing Education Center, Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for 12 weeks. Evening classes will meet for 14 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. at Gloucester County Institute of Technology.
The programs are for residents who wish to learn more about the English language and American culture. They are designed to improve communication skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The ESL classes are free, however, there is a $10 registration fee. Applicants can register now at the RCGC Continuing Education Center until Aug. 29. For more information call 856-468-5000, ext. 6227. The programs are sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
RCGC’s Continuing Education Center is located at 1492 Tanyard Road in Deptford, just off Exit 56 of Route 55.
