Free Flu Shots In West Deptford This Week

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — The Gloucester County Department of Health will offer free flu shots to West Deptford residents this week. Flu shots will be available on Thursday, Oct. 3, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riverwinds Community Center, 1000 Riverwinds Drive.

“The best way to keep yourself and those around you flu-free this year is to get the flu shot as soon as you can. It’s never too early to start protecting yourself,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said.

“There is no cost for our residents to receive this flu shot and all they need to do is show up with valid ID,” Gloucester County Freeholder Jim Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health, said. “There is a flu shot clinic scheduled in every town so that residents can conveniently and easily access this service.”

This year’s quadrivalent seasonal flu vaccine contains the following four viruses: A/Michigan/45/2015 (H1N1)-pdm09-like virus; A/Singapore/INFIMH-16-0019/2016 (H3N2)-like virus; B/Colorado/06/2017-like virus (B/Victoria lineage); B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus.
