Gloucester County Adds 2 Coronavirus Test Sites As Cases Increase

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Gloucester County will run two drive-thru coronavirus test sites this week as the number of cases continues to climb in the county.

Testing will take place on Tuesday and Thursday at the Clayton Complex, 1200 North Delsea Drive in Clayton. The events follow one held last week, the first one Gloucester County held since June. Read more here: Gloucester County To Host Coronavirus Test Site As Cases Spike

As of Monday, there were 4,588 cases of the coronavirus in Gloucester County with 220 confirmed deaths. Gloucester County has conducted 60,456 total tests. Of these cases, 55,868 have come back negative. One case has been moved out of the county. There were 15 new cases reported on Monday. Trace investigations are underway in all new cases.

Testing on Tuesday begins at 1 p.m., and testing on Thursday begins at 9 a.m. They will be done by appointment only.

Gloucester County residents 18 years old and older who want to be tested must call 856-218-0300 to be prescreened by Rowan Medicine. Residents do not need to be symptomatic to receive testing. Call takers will be available:

  • Monday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. to noon

Callers should have their insurance information ready when they call. Once they are prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.

The site is a partnership between the county, Rowan University and Rowan Medicine, the Gloucester County Department of Health and the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management.
