Gloucester County Government: Gloucester County Military Service Medal Ceremony Scheduled For September 25

(West Deptford, NJ) – The Gloucester County Military Service Medal Ceremony will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at the auditorium at RiverWinds in West Deptford.

This year 37 veterans will be honored at the Gloucester County Military Service Medal Ceremony.
Commissioner Director Robert M. Damminger said, “The men and women who answer the call to serve and defend our nation deserve the utmost respect and recognition. We are privileged to have presented these veterans with their federal medals.

Commissioner Dan Christy, liaison to the office of Veterans Affairs said, “The Gloucester County Office of Veterans Affairs has worked with the veterans themselves, or their families, and each branch of service to find the medals, ribbons and honors they have earned. It’s quite detailed work, but worth every moment. It is important that our veterans know that we are behind them and we are here to provide support they need on the home front.”
The Ceremony is open to the public and will be approximately an hour long.
