Gloucester County Parks, Golf Course Reopen With Restrictions

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — All county-operated parks will reopen with restrictions Saturday following Gov. Phil Murphy's announcement that all state parks and golf courses will be permitted to reopen, Gloucester County officials announced.

They will be open from sunrise to 8 p.m. daily. In accordance with state guidelines, access to parking will be reduced by half, according to officials. Read more here: Gov. Murphy To Reopen State Parks, Golf Courses In NJ

The following are specific rules for each park:

Greenwich Lake

• Fishing- open to public
• Passive recreation (walking, running etc.)- open to public
• Pavilions- closed to public
• Picnics- closed to public
• Restrooms- closed to public

James G. Atkinson Memorial Park

• Passive recreation (walking, running etc.)- open to public
• Fishing- open to public
• Restrooms- closed to public
• Pavilions- closed to public
• Playgrounds- closed to public
• Picnics- closed to public
• Sports fields- closed to public
• Tennis/Pickleball courts- closed to public

Redbank Battlefield

• Passive recreation (walking, running etc.)- open to public
• Restrooms- closed to public
• Pavilions- closed to public
• Playgrounds- closed to public
• Picnics- closed to public
• Historical buildings- closed to public

Scotland Run Park

• Passive recreation (walking, running etc.)- open to public
• Fishing- open to public
• Restrooms- closed to public
• Pavilions- closed to public
• Playgrounds- closed to public
• Picnics- closed to public
• Visitors’ center- closed to public

All visitors must maintain social distancing measures while at the parks except with immediate family members, caretakers, household members or romantic partners. All employees and visitors are encouraged to wear a cloth face covering while in the parks.

The Gloucester County Golf Course in Pitman will also reopen, with the following guidelines:

Temporary hours of operation will be Monday through Sunday beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Tee times intervals are 18 minutes apart
18-hole reservations will end at 3 p.m.
9-hole reservations will end at 5 p.m.
All golfers must be off the course at 7:30 p.m.
No more than 2 golfers per tee time, unless it is immediate family, caretakers or household members. No non-golfers will be allowed.
Parking will be restricted by 50%
Group play and special events are not permitted

Golfers must maintain a minimal distance of 6 feet apart from others.

Payment will be done over the phone (credit/debit cards); cash payments in a drop box/window
Only single rider golf carts will be available.
Push/pull cart rentals will be available on a first come first serve basis.
Score cards and pencils will not be available.
There will be designated waiting areas to comply with social distancing if necessary
Golfers must leave flagsticks in the cup at all times.
Food and beverages will be serviced at Bogey’s Club and Café as to-go options only
