NATIONAL PARK, NJ – Almost 250 years to the day that the first shots of the Revolutionary War broke out, the South Jersey Community of National Park hosted the colonial-themed Red Bank Battlefield Spring Festival on Saturday.

Attendees took in hearth cooking, candle making and wool spinning, colonial "technology" and the day in the life of a child. The James and Ann Whitall House was also open for taking a peek and tours of the nearby Red Bank Battlefield were available.
