Gloucester County's Last Household Waste Disposal Day Is Oct. 19
Gloucester County will hold its final Household Special Waste Collection Day of the year on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Gloucester County will hold its final Household Special Waste Collection Day of the year on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Gloucester County Public Works Department, 1200 North Delsea Drive in Clayton, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine.
Residents can drop off their old oil-based paint, motor oil, antifreeze, rechargeable batteries, CFL bulbs, fluorescent tubes, fire extinguishers, solvents, pesticides, pool chemicals, and similar materials for recycling, reuse, and/or proper disposal.
Latex paint is not accepted and must be dried out with kitty litter and placed in the regular trash. The service is free for Gloucester County residents. Commercial businesses may not participate.

“The Household Special Waste Collection program gives residents the opportunity to discard old materials that may have been piling up while also protecting the environment from potentially damaging items through proper disposal,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said.
