Gloucester Police Issue Road Construction Advisory

Work will soon be occurring on Hickstown Road in the area of Erial Road.

The work will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 19th, from 8 a.m. to 4 pm through Thursday, Nov. 21,  from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the construction, westbound traffic between Erial Road and Peter Cheeseman Road will be detoured around the work zone. The marked detour route will be Erial Road to College Drive to Peter Cheeseman Road to Hickstown Road, police said.

Eastbound traffic on Hickstown Road between Peter Cheeseman Road and Erial Road will continue to flow as normal but drivers may experience minor delays at times. Officers will be on location to assist drivers as needed.

Drivers are asked to use caution when in the area as workers and equipment will be in the roadway. To avoid delays, drivers should seek an alternate route of travel.
