Here's Where To Get Flu Shots In Gloucester County
No cost flu shots will be available in Gloucester County beginning Oct. 10, county officials announced Thursday morning.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — No cost flu shots will be available in Gloucester County beginning Oct. 10, county officials announced Thursday morning.
The county will use a series of drive-thru events this fall as it attempts to follow social distancing guidelines while battling the coronavirus and preventing the flu simultaneously. Read more here: Flu Shots More Important Than Ever Amid Pandemic, Virtua Says
"The best way to keep yourself and those around you flu-free this year is to get the flu shot as soon as you can,” Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said. “It's never too early to start protecting yourself."

“There is no cost for our residents to receive this flu shot and all they need to do is show up with valid ID,” Gloucester County Freeholder Jim Jefferson, liaison to the Department of Health, said. “The county is committed to promoting healthy residents and preventative health care.”

Clinics are scheduled for weekends and during evening hours, with special clinics just for daycare and pre-school aged children and their families. Anyone attending an in-person flu clinic is asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
This year’s quadrivalent seasonal flu vaccine contains the following four viruses:
- A/Guangdong-Maonan/SWL1536/2019 (H1N1) pdm09-like virus (updated)
- A/Hong Kong/2671/2019 (H3N2)-like virus (updated)
- B/Washington/02/2019 (B/Victoria lineage)-like virus (updated)
- B/Phuket/3073/2013-like (Yamagata lineage) virus
