Blood-Soaked NJ Man Stabs Woman, Tells Neighbor 'It's Not A Good Time': Officials

He answered the door covered in blood and holding a knife. Inside, police found a woman who was stabbed multiple times.

WEST DEPTFORD, NJ — A West Deptford man answered the door holding a knife, covered in blood and told a neighbor, "It's not a good time," authorities said. He was later charged with attempted murder.

Randall D. Bilger, 61, stabbed a woman multiple times Friday morning, leaving her wounded, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office. Bilger was arrested that day.

That morning, a neighbor went to the house to check on the victim. After finding the front door locked, they went to the back door, where Bilger answered.

The witness called 911 after seeing Bilger covered in blood and holding a knife, authorities said. When answering the door, Bilger told the witness, "It's not a good time," according to prosecutors.

When police arrived, Bilger came to the front door but ignored orders to leave the house, authorities said. Officers then entered the home, arrested Bilger and found the victim suffering from stab wounds.

The victim told police that Bilger stabbed her in the shoulder hours earlier and then in the abdomen shortly before the witness knocked on the door, prosecutors said. She was brought to the hospital.

Bilger was charged with first-degree attempted murder and third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

He remains jailed as of Monday, according to public records.
