Local Playwright Premiers New Work At New Jersey Fringe Festival
New drama by Turnersville playwright to be seen at New Jersey Fringe Festival. Entertainment. Local talent.

Turnersville playwright Joshua Kurtz’s new work, Almost All My Heart, was chosen to be performed at the first ever New Jersey Fringe Festival, held on August 5th, 6th and 7th. Kurtz, a 2010 graduate of Gloucester County Institute of Technology and an ongoing member of The Young Americans performance touring group, has been writing and producing original shows for the last six years.
While Kurtz’s previous work includes musical comedies and award-winning one-act plays, Almost All My Heart is a drama that deals with issues of abuse, self-worth and love.
“I want to leave viewers contemplating the complexities of relationships and reality,” Kurtz says. The show follows two women, Sam and Lilah, and the mysterious Eli. Eli believes his abusive relationships with women, including Sam’s lover Lilah, are what they truly desire.
